Background

Born in the South Shroud and growing up in the Lavender Beds to a single mother, Apple was a typical, enthusiastic child.Having descended from a long line of white mages harking all the way back to Amdapor, she began learning to wield white magic and black magic at a young age, excelling in white magic in particular.However, at the age of ten she would lose her mother to an unknown aetheric illness, thus throwing herself into her studies while raising herself.Apple joined the Conjurer's Guild in Gridania shortly after her mother's death and quickly flew up the ranks. After being imbued with the echo in her teens and accidentally augmenting her aether in a tragic accident, thus making her more sensitive to magicks, Apple was promoted as a senior member of the Conjurer's Guild.During the Battle of Carteneau, she and other high ranking members of the Conjurer's Guild were dispatched to serve as field medics on the front lines. Returning to find her childhood home destroyed and her lover lost to battle, she moved to Gridania, taking up a long-term lease at the Carline Canopy during the rebuilding efforts. Eventually she would become an adventurer and take on her childhood name given to her by her mother as an alias for her work: Applesauce Betty.

Background

Growing up in the Twelveswood as a Keeper and a late-life baby to an eccentric, single mother, Rhu'by was always destined to be a bit of an outcast.Imbued with the echo from a very young age, Rhu'by was considered strange by many of her peers for her clairvoyant abilities, although this bothered her little. Through her mother's stories, Rhu'by fell in love with the stars and at the age of thirteen began to practice astromancy on her own as she was unable to join any official guild.Eight years later, still unable to officially pursue her love of astromancy, Rhu'by decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and move to Ul'Dah to practice alchemy; joining the Thaumaturge's Guild while there. After some time, Rhu'by finally was able to enroll at the Athenaeum Astrologicum in Ishgard, thus legitimizing her skills in astromancy.After three months of study she would graduate and move to Thavnair where she continues to work as an Alchemist.
